As he fails to make amends to his friends and MARI, SUNNY plummets endlessly to his presumed death. Unable to accept the truth, SUNNY commits suicide by jumping off the building. He cannot turn back as he has already made his decision. Upon exiting the NEIGHBOR'S ROOM, the scene immediately cuts over to SUNNY standing on the hospital's balcony alone. He visits his friends, who all appear strangely silent, in NEIGHBOR'S ROOM as usual, and together they head out for more adventuring. From there, OMORI wakes up in WHITE SPACE once again. If SUNNY chooses not to continue, he will instead disappear as OMORI presumably takes control of SUNNY's mind. Unable to accept the truth, Sunny commits suicide by jumping off the hospital's balcony. A peaceful piano song plays in the background to signify that SUNNY is ready to move on from the past. When the game goes back to the title screen, it will now show SUNNY and the peaceful background of FARAWAY TOWN's morning blue sky. achievement as the player has reached the GOOD ENDING. SUNNY and BASIL gaze at each other and smile as their SOMETHINGs fade away, showing that regardless of how everyone else has reacted, the burden that they have shouldered for four years has lifted and they are both ready to move on. If the player has made the effort to water BASIL's flowers during at least one day in HEADSPACE, an additional cutscene is added after the credits. Sunny is ready to move on from Mari's death as Something vanishes for good. Upon reaching the latter's room, SUNNY faces his friends as well and finally tells them the truth behind MARI's death. Stepping out of his room, SUNNY briefly hallucinates OMORI's HEADSPACE friends and STRANGER as he heads over to check on BASIL. SUNNY soon awakens in the hospital crying with a bandage over his right eye, finally coming to terms with MARI's death. Shortly after this, SUNNY leaves WHITE SPACE and HEADSPACE behind as he is ready to face reality once more. Once SUNNY and MARI finish their duet, OMORI accepts defeat and embraces SUNNY with a hug, vanishing from WHITE SPACE. He performs the duet recital with MARI, remembering the good times he's spent with MARI and his friends during his youth. If SUNNY chooses to continue, he will get back up, readying himself to play his violin with renewed vigor. Sunny refuses to give up against Omori during their final battle. Selecting either option will lead to an ending that changes the title screen, as well as earning an achievement in the aftermath. There are only two possible outcomes if the player chooses either one of the two options after losing to OMORI the first time around: CONTINUE and DO NOT CONTINUE. OMORI ends up overwhelming SUNNY by constantly reminding him of what he had done to MARI and that he doesn't deserve forgiveness for his actions. The two end up battling for control of SUNNY's mind. SUNNY is then transported into WHITE SPACE again for a final showdown against OMORI. He eventually breaks down in tears over getting to mourn his older sister's death.
